Alpha Card Services Doubles Customer Service Team As Revenue Continues to Soar

Continued robust revenue growth has led Alpha
Card Services to double the headcount for its customer service
teams, the financial technology leader announced today. By recruiting
seasoned customer service representatives and help desk professionals
from Fortune 1,000 companies like Comcast and Pep Boys, Alpha has
positioned itself to not only meet the customer service demands of its
current business, but also comfortably handle anticipated growth.

“Alpha Card Services is committed to our clients, and that commitment
only strengthens as our company grows,” said Lazaros Kalemis, Founder
and CEO of Alpha Card Services. “A focus on customer experience goes
hand-in-hand with good business and has always been a core value of
ours. That’s why we’ve brought on an exceptional team of highly
qualified men and women, who will knowledgeably assist our clients with
their customer service and tech support needs – whether they partner
with us for point-of-sale, payroll, working capital, rewards, gift card
or ATM services.”

This past summer, strong revenue growth secured Alpha Card Services a
place on the coveted Inc. 5000 List of America’s Fastest Growing
Companies for the eighth time. While revenue has skyrocketed 130 percent
over the last three years, total revenue for 2014 alone climbed 20
percent to $22.4 million from $18.7 million the year prior. With such
burgeoning numbers, senior leadership has demonstrated its commitment to
quality service for its clients by investing in people, with a
particular emphasis on boosting customer experience staff.

Industry research shows that customer service is a leading cause of
attrition from a business’ merchant services provider. In fact, a white
paper published by the Electronic
Transaction Association affirms that 70 percent of merchants cite
poor customer service as the top reason for changing merchant servicers.

Recognizing this trend, Alpha Card Services launched its
customer-centric effort this past October by naming a Director of
Operations to implement a best-in-class customer service and support
model. Joining Alpha Card Services from industry giant American Express,
David Headley brings with him more than a decade of customer service
experience in global merchant servicing and operations. In just a short
time at Alpha Card Services, he has strategically built and segmented
the company’s customer service operation into well-equipped teams of
customer service and help desk professionals who boast an impressive
array of financial services and merchant servicing backgrounds. Under
this enhanced structure, clients seeking support will be immediately
connected with service professionals best equipped to quickly and
accurately provide answers and a resolution to any service or support
related inquiry.

“Customer Service and Technical Support are invaluable customer touch
points,” Headley said. “The boutique feel we envision for Alpha Card
Services offers our core market of small to medium-sized clients a
concierge service and customer experience that will set us apart from
our competitors. Our goal is to find staff that has an overwhelming
desire to help our clients which will ultimately lead Alpha Card
Services and our partners to greater success.”
