Apprenticeship programs for electrical contractors in the Puget Sound region

The Puget Sound Electrical JATC (PSEJATC) is a non-profit organization that provides the training required to receive certifications in Inside Wireman (Construction) Electrician, Low Voltage/Sound and Communication Electrician and Residential Electrician. PSEJATC is jointly sponsored by the Puget Sound Chapter of the NECA (National Electrical Contractors Association) and IBEW local 46 (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers). It is the responsibility of PSEJATC to provide training for apprentices and journeymen in the organized electrical industry within the local 46 jurisdiction which includes King, Kitsap, Jefferson and Clallam counties.

Apprentices- Helpful Reminders for Raise Due Timesheets

Turn in raise due timesheet two or three weeks prior to your raise. Drop off, fax, scan and email, or take a clear picture and email as an attachment.

Write month, last day of the month, and year on raise due timesheet.

Write your name on raise due timesheet.

Submit the correct number of hours needed for raise on your raise due timesheet ( total each row ).

Write total hours to date on your raise due timesheet.

Sign your raise due timesheet.

Pay any outstanding penalties.

Make up any missed class time.

Depending on which raise level you are requesting, you may also need to have your school year completed (craft certification completion for inside wire) and final grades in.

Apprentices- Helpful Reminders for Signing the Out-of-Work Book

Are you a Veteran discharged within the last seven years?

The PSEJATC in cooperation with the Puget Sound Chapter NECA and IBEW Local 46 have established a new veterans program (V.I.C.E.), Veterans in Construction Electrical. This program is designed to assist military veterans who posess an aptitude in the electrical industry to gain employment and career opportunities. Upon acceptance into the V.I.C.E. program, the veteran will follow a six-week evening schedule designed to prepare them for a career within our electrical apprenticeship program. The 5-year program consists of curriculum derived from the NJATC (National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee) which covers basic electrical theory, circuitry training, mathematics, and electrical/construction safety training. Participants will receive OSHA 30 training along with lab training in conduit bending and electrical wiring.
